Lymph nodes are small glands in the shape of a bean which help the body fight infections and diseases. As part of the lymphatic and immune system, they carry nutrients, fluids and waste material between the bloodstream and the body tissues.
Usually don`t notice them, but when we get sick they become swollen and painful. This is a symptom of some infection of something more serious like an injury, inflammation or even cancer.
Normal lymph nodes are small as a pea or a cherry, less than a centimeter in diameter. But when we have some disease, they get bigger, swollen, we start feeling them, and can even be visible to the eye.
Visit your doctor immediately in case you notice that your lymph nodes are enlarged. If it`s nothing serious, you can treat them yourself.
One powerful ingredient which can boost the immune system and treat infections is garlic, with its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
If your lymph nodes are swollen, use garlic to reduce inflammation and swelling.
